This Week's Picks - MACCS the label, Lost In Lunar, David Lerner

Summer has officially arrived and I am obsessing over all the new arrivals in store!! I find that I can be super picky when it comes to summer clothes, because the reality is that we have such a short summer season, so I obviously need to be in love with things before I invest my hard earned money into them. With that being said…I don’t think I have EVER been this excited about all of the new arrivals…like every single one of them! You guys… I hope you love what I am about to share as much as I do because I can’t decide what I need to buy first, let alone what NOT to buy!

If you follow us weekly on Instagram, then you already know what I am talking about with the cuteness overload!! This week we featured new arrivals from MACCS the Label, Lost in Lunar, and David Lerner, but before I dive right in, I wanted to take a second to remind you all that Miss Boss is having an UNREAL sale right now and it even includes EVERTHING I am about to talk about. I personally don’t think it gets much better than that! The sale ends Monday, June 17th, so don’t wait if you see something you love, because why not get it while it’s on sale???

***All new summer clothing arrivals and swimwear is 20% off (excluding Rebecca King), PLUS take an additional 10% off already marked down merchandise, AND select shorts, shortalls, playsuits, rompers, and skirts are still Buy 1, Get 1 FREE!!!!***

Ok, let’s start with MACCS the Label because it has been a hot minute since we have had new items from this line and boy was it worth the wait! Think fun, flirty, summery vibes and pieces that can be mixed and matched to create multiple different looks and outfits. Another thing I love about MACCS the Label is their price point. I love when you can get pieces that fall more into the trendy category at a really great price! I have talked about this many times, but when it comes to staple, timeless pieces it is so important to invest in your clothing, and when you are looking for pieces that are trendy its ok to spend a little less BUT just keep in mind that these items will not last as long. MACCS the Label is perfect because it falls somewhere in the middle price point wise, and all her pieces are still really great quality without having to break the bank.

I am all about these lemon inspired pieces, so it’s only fitting that I start off talking about them! You know when you see a print/ pattern and it just makes you happy?? Yah, me too, and that’s exactly how I felt when I tried them on. First of all, how stinking cute is the “Limoncello Playsuit”-$110?? Just pack me in a suitcase and send me off to Italy, because this look has me feeling like I could be sitting on a patio overlooking the ocean, sipping wine, and indulging in all the carbs!!! If you aren’t a fan of playsuits/rompers then I highly recommend the “Sophia Shorts”-$75 because they are the exact same pattern making them equally as cute. I absolutely love how she made sure the back of the shorts are longer on both pieces so you don’t need to worry about your butt hanging out, because I find this happens far too often and I personally am not a fan of that look lol! Ohhh and did I mention that there is also the most adorable white tee with lemons on it??? There is obviously so many ways to style this tee, but I think it would look so adorable paired with a skirt like Sabrina showed in the try-ons. The “Lemon Tee” is available in sizes xs-large and retails for just $59.

Another trend that I have talked about a ton lately on the blog is stripes!! It seems like no matter who the designer/ label is they have at least one item with stripes! The next 3 items I’m going to talk about from MACCS the Label are all a linen blend and can be worn separately or mixed and matched with other items in your existing wardrobe! You all know that I am a huge fan of the matching sets that are all the rage right now, so obviously my favourite way to wear the “Isabella Top”-$55 is with the matching “Isabella Skirt”-$99 for a super chic and put together look. If skirts aren’t your thing, or the crop top is a little too risky for you, then I think you will love the Ciao Stripe Jumpsuit -$105 because it’s the exact same pattern and material except in a jumpsuit! Another thing that is great about jumpsuits is that it makes picking out an outfit super easy because it’s just one item and you’re done!

The last item we received from MACCS was the cutest eyelet top that would be perfect for those hot summer days. The “Caterina Top”-$65 is a crop front tie top that is great for layering over a dress, bathing suit, bodysuit, etc, but is also super cute worn on its own paired with a pair of high waisted jeans!

Lost in Lunar

When it comes to summer outfits I often find myself reaching for a dress over anything else in my wardrobe because they are easy and most often not restricting! I hate when I’m overheating and I feel like my clothes are suffocating me…anyone else know what I’m talking about?!?! Trust me, anytime but summer you will always find me in denim because I’m OBSESSED, but since we are now getting into those warmer temps it’s time to switch things up and Lost in Lunar is the perfect place to start! I swear they make the most amazing dresses and rompers and I can safely say that this new shipment exceeded my expectations.

Lotti Dress - Lost In Lunar

If you have ever wondered what type of dress works best for your body type, my number one tip is to go for a wrap style dress. Wrap dresses are flattering on all body types and you honestly just can’t go wrong! If you are slightly bustier then you can always put on a bralette, a fitted cami, or a quick trip to the tailor to add an extra little hidden button to provide that extra coverage. I have two favourites in store at the moment the “Elan Wrap Dress”-$120, and the “”Lotti Maxi Dress”-$135 both are equally flattering, however one is shorter and the other is a maxi dress. Both of these dresses would be great to wear to a summer wedding, baby shower, basically any summer event that isn’t a black tie event! Another great tip, if you want to get a lot of wear out of something that is slightly dressier, simply add a denim jacket and a pair of wedges, sneakers, flip flops, whatever makes you feel most like you! I am someone who loves getting dressed up but there is only so many times you can wear a fancy dress so try this little tip and you will find you get a lot more wear out of those pieces!

I also wanted to take a minute to talk about how obsessed I am with the colour and stripe pattern they used on the “Lotti Maxi Dress”. I think it will transition flawlessly into fall, however if you love this pattern and colour but aren’t going to wear a dress, then check out the Lotti Top -$110 which is the shirt version of the dress. If I purchased this top I would pair it with light wash or white denim for a super fresh summery look, and finish of the look with espadrille wedges and a straw handbag!

Elan Wrap Dress - Lost In Lunar

Next up is probably the cutest baby doll dress I have ever seen! The “Kaia Baby Doll Dress”-$120 is a flowy white dress with dainty gold stripes that just add the right amount of sparkle as you move throughout your day. This dress is also doubled lined so there is no need to worry about it being see -through!!! I think this dress would look super cute paired with a denim jacket and cognac wedges!

David Lerner

OK, some would argue that I saved the best for last because this stuff is AMAZING!!! If you are someone who loves their joggers, comfy but stylish clothes, and is all about that athleisure look, then you are going to die over these pieces!!! I can honestly say that even I am dying over these pieces and I’m not normally someone who loves jogger sets. Think comfy, soft, cute, great fit, and you basically have the world’s best outfit lol! The “Lounge Cuff Jogger” $138 is available in heather grey and features cuffed ankles, a printed drawstring, and is made of a modal French terry fabric…need I say more??? These look so cute paired with white sneakers and just a basic white tee, but if you want to rock the full meal deal, then I HIGHLY suggest pairing them with the matching “Crop Hoodie”-$138!!

I know I say this about so many items, because maybe I am biased and think everything we carry at Miss Boss is the shit (HAHA), but this next one is just too good not to share!!! I have a super soft spot for pastels especially in the summer months, and this windbreaker is what dreams are made of! The “Chevron Windbreaker”-$199 is just such a fun piece and also looks unreal paired with the “Lounge Cuff Jogger” or over a tighter fitting dress with sneakers for a more casual look. All of the new David Lerner pieces are available both in store and online, AND don’t forget that ALL of these items mentioned in the blog today are still on sale for 20% off (in store only) until Monday!!!
