It’s always fun to switch things up, and what better way than to have a guest appearance to feature the new items from Adelyn Rae for This Week’s Picks! As someone who spends a lot of time following bloggers and watching stories on Instagram, I know that sometimes you just need to see a fresh face to regain your attention, and that’s why we love to mix in a featured guest here and there to keep things exciting! To kick things off I obviously had to ask Emma to share a little about herself, because naturally we as humans are curious individuals, and if you’re anything like me, I always find myself more engaged and interested in the content if I feel like I know the person. So without further ado this is what she had to say…

OK!!! It is FINALLY time to talk about all the fabulous new arrivals from Adelyn Rae, because I know that’s the real reason you are all here reading todays blog post. Adelyn Rae is a newer brand to Miss Boss, but I can honestly say that I am super excited for what is to come after seeing Emma model all of the new pieces! As you know, we tend to carry more versatile pieces that can be incorporated into your wardrobe on the daily, but this collection is dressier, which I think will be the perfect addition to the store moving into the holiday season.
The first dress Emma featured is so, so beautiful and would be great to wear to a fall wedding, event, or even to the work place by simply pairing it with a blazer. The “Elaine Dress” retails for $169 and we chose to style it with the Black Suede “Aria Pump”-$260 in the colour pewter, the Christopher Kon “Madison Classic Leather Wallet”-$125 in deep blue, and an assortment of eLiasz and eLLa bracelets to complete the look! You will notice that we styled all of the Adelyn Rae pieces with the same shoes, and accessories to show their versatility and to also showcase the wallet and bracelet stack that one lucky winner will be taking home with them!!
This next dress is the BOMB.COM!!! If this is not the most perfect NYE dress than I don’t know what is! If you are someone who likes to plan your outfits WELL in advance then I am telling you now that this is going to be one hot little number once the holiday season rolls around. Everything from the rich colour, to the fabric, to the subtle drama of the puffed shoulders makes the “Stella Dress” number one on my must have list and it retails for just $145!! Honestly, I feel like for that price it’s a no brainer!
The next three pieces in the collection are a little more edgy and can easily be dressed up or dressed down! Unlike the dresses that I introduced above, these ones are a little easier to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe and not so “special occasion” focused. If you haven’t noticed already, plaid is huge this season and I’m not mad about it! I feel like whether plaid is on trend or not, it never really goes out of style, and for that reason it makes sense to invest in a few good pieces because you will be able to wear them for years to come. Both the “Toni Jumpsuit”-$175, and the “Toni Suit Dress”-$175 are great examples of how you could incorporate plaid into your wardrobe.
The final piece from the Adelyn Rae collection is the “Grayson Suit Romper”-$160. I love that you can easily take this piece from work day to evening by simply switching up your accessories! For the perfect work day look, pair this romper with black opaque tights, ankle boots, a scarf, and a longer style jacket. Once the work day is over, and ladies night is in order, ditch the tights, and rock a pair of black over the knee boots! Swap out the scarf for a necklace or a great pair of earrings, and ditch the big work day purse for a little clutch and voila you are ready for girls night!
