This week we are talking all things Z Supply and Jackson Rowe!!! So if you are a lover of comfy, casual, and easy to wear pieces then grab a coffee or a glass of vino and settle in, because this one is for you!!
Jackson Rowe- Back to Basics
What I love about Jackson Rowe is that she really knows how to create basic, casual pieces that are great for layering. Let’s face it; everyone needs those simple tees, tanks, and basic long sleeve shirts in order to create a well-balanced wardrobe. I know for myself these aren’t always the most exciting items in the store, but what I do know is that I can expect great quality, a flattering fit, and consistency! Nobody does basics better than Jackson Rowe, and because of that we continually have a VERY high demand for her core pieces, which consist of the “Classic Crew” the “Knotty Tee”, and the “Girlfriend Tee”. This season all three shirts are available in black, mustard, deep berry, and green pastures!
The “Classic Crew” has a flattering longer length with a rounded hem and retails for $58. This is a go to shirt for pairing with leggings as it fits more like a tunic, but if you prefer to change it up day to day, try tying the bottom in a knot!
The “Knotty Tee”- $60, is back and better than ever!! You guys… if you loved this top before, you are going to love it even more now!! For those of you who loved it, but found that the knot was too high cut then it’s time to get excited, because with the updated fit and lowering of the twisted side knot this top is going to work for every shape and size!!! I always say that the “Knotty Tee” is the perfect basic with a twist!
The last top selling basic is the “Girlfriend Tee”. The classic v neck is perfect for layering under blazers and can be easily dressed up or dressed down. The hem is right at the waist line, which gives you an overall more polished look and retails for just $58.
***I should also mention that all three of these tops are made up mostly of Rayon Modal and a small percent of Spandex making them silky soft, machine washable, and pill free!!!
Jackson Rowe- New styles!
Now that we have covered all the must have basics, I am super excited to share the two new items that we received from Jackson Rowe. I’m sure you have noticed that stripes are really trending this spring, and I have to say that I am fully on board. Stripes are such a fun way to elevate those basic pieces without having to get too crazy with pattern! I am LOVING the new ribbed, long sleeve “Henley” button down top with front tie detail. I have to say that this is one of my favourite styles for tops at the moment, because the fit is so flattering when paired with high rise denim. This style is available in 3 colour ways, rust, black, and of course stripe and retails for just $70.
Last but not least, the scoop neck “Raw Tee”-$60 is a slightly dressier spin off on your basic tee with its side slits and back panel detail, and is available in rust and black.
Z Supply
OK!!! This new Z Supply collection is giving me all the spring vibes, from jumpsuits, to culottes, to bright colours! Even though we just had another MAJOR snowfall (eye roll) I truly do believe that now is the time to start purchasing that spring wardrobe and cleaning out that closet to make room for all your new goodies!! Speaking of cleaning, are you all on the Marie Kondo kick of cleaning up???? I hate to admit it, but I definitely tend to hoard clothes and this past week I finally jumped on the train of getting rid of items that don’t “bring me joy” and all I can say is BRING ON ALL THE NEW CLOTHES!!!!
You guys, it’s the best feeling, because now I can actually see what I need to buy and what gaps I need to fill in my current wardrobe. ANYWAYS….my point is that when you are shopping at Miss Boss we want to be able to help you “fill those gaps” and a great starting point is buying basics, because they often are what you are missing in order to complete your outfit.
The “Stripe Boyfriend V Neck”-$55 is an oversized fitting tee that is both comfy and chic! It features looser sleeves and side slits and is available in 2 different colour combinations (white/rose or white/black). Tuck it, tie it, or just wear it as is with your favourite denim, leather jacket, and my favourite Melissa “Mules” to complete the look!
If you are more of a sweatpants/jogger girl then you will love how we paired the “Stripe Boyfriend V Neck” with the “Knit Denim Pant”. These are so fun, because they feel like sweats, but look like denim! Is that not the best of both worlds??? They are available in both an indigo colour and light wash and retail for $79.
While I’m on the topic of comfy pants, I need to mention the “Pinstripe Culottes”-$65. Think sweatpants that look like dress pants?!!?!? LIKE WHAT!!!! It’s mind blowing I know! These are a must have in my opinion if you have to dress up for work. Pair them with a black cami and black heels for a dressier look, or with an espadrille platform and the “Cotton V Neck Slub” in black for a more casual look.
The “Cotton V Neck Slub” mentioned above is available in four different colours (black, rose, natural, and olive) and retails for just $40. The raw edge seams, twisted sleeve hems, and curved shirttail hem add that extra little detail that makes the basic v neck tee not so basic!
Next up is another favourite of mine, because it has that slightly cropped fit that I just love, and think it is just so flattering with high rise pants! The “Sienna Skimmer Crop Stripe Tee”-$58, features long sleeves, dropped shoulders, ribbed neck banding, and is available in yellow cream or dapple grey.
The last top we featured from Z Supply was the “Venice Crew”-$42 in a white and red bold stripe pattern. This crew style tee reminds me of a cropped version of the boyfriend tee with its oversized fit and high cut neckline. Try rolling up the edge of the sleeves for a different look!
Ok, so I know I do this more often than not, but I would have to say that I left the best for last! You guys, this item is FLYING off the racks! In fact, I think we may just have ONE medium left in black and then a few sizes left in olive! The “Flared Jumpsuit” is basically the best jumpsuit ever made with its wide legs, adjustable straps, scooped neckline, and relaxed fit. Dress it up for date night with a pair of heels and a belt, or dress it down by wearing a basic tee underneath it and a pair of sneakers. OHHHH and probably the best selling feature is that it is INSANELY comfortable!! Long story short, you and everyone you know needs this jumpsuit so literally “jump” on it because they aren’t going to last long.
