This Week's Picks - David Lerner

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Family Day long weekend!!! Luckily the temperatures have warmed up slightly, and for some reason -15 is feeling kind of warm and giving me the urge to get out of the house and actually get some fresh air! If you’re anything like me…my idea of getting “fresh air” is going out and about to check out local boutiques…sorry hubby!! Seriously though, walk into any store and spring has literally sprung, which just gets me so excited for the warmer days ahead. Just a little tip, fashion is always ahead of the game and if you are contemplating waiting to purchase those awesome spring/ summer finds until the warm weather actually arrives, then I’m sorry to be the one to break it to you, but everything is going to be picked over. The best advice I can give, is when you find a piece you love, buy it then, DO NOT WAIT! Trust me, you will thank me later!

Ok, enough ranting LOL….this week’s blog post is going to be short and sweet, as we just have a few new arrivals from David Lerner, so let’s get right into it! We have talked about David Lerner several times on the blog now, and I’m sure you can tell that I am a HUGE fan of this brand! I love the mix of elevated basics, athleisure, studs, and leather. This brand basically covers it all and has something for every person and occasion. Now, one thing to keep in mind when buying David Lerner, there bottoms tend to fit on the smaller size so I do recommend sizing up one size, and for the most part, the dresses and tops are true to size.

I’m going to start with the “Floral Dress”-$280, because I feel like it’s the perfect dress for so many occasions. Wear it to work with a pump or ankle boot, to a wedding with a strappy heel, on the weekend with over the knee boots, or for a more casual look toss on a jean jacket and some sneakers. This shirt dress is super flattering with its flowy effortless fit, long sleeves, and longer hem in the back.

We also received another dress that is going to be a perfect transition piece moving into spring. The “Stripe Terry Dress”-$295 has a slightly thicker material making it the perfect piece for those chillier days. I personally love the “Floral Dress” on my body shape, but if you love a figure hugging dress than you’re going to love this one!!! I love playing around with outfits that incorporate different textures so I think this would look great paired with a black blazer or cropped leather jacket and a wedge oxford shoe!

Who doesn’t love a good tee??? We just received the CUTEST, and I mean CUTEST “Mickey Mouse Tee” ever!!! I am obsessed!! You know when you see the “IT” piece and you immediately start planning the perfect outfit to go with it???  Ya…ME TOO!! I would totally rock this crop tee with a bad ass motto leather jacket, ripped high rise faded black denim, and black pointy toe suede over the knee boots and probably a black cross body bag with silver studs or matte black hardware! OK….judging by how I just got so excited that I typed out that last sentence faster than I have ever typed in my life, I feel like it’s a sign that I NEED this top!!!

Now I know cartoon characters aren’t for everyone and that is totally ok, because we also received another super cute tee that is also cropped and retails for the same price at $118. The “Stripe Drop Shoulder Tee” could easily be dressed up by tucking it into a high waisted tube skirt, and is great for layering under cardigans, blazers, etc.

The last item we received from our latest David Lerner shipment was this fun “Ruffle Pullover Tank”- $160. This ruffle sleeve sweater is giving me all the sporty vibes, and with athleisure being a trend that is still going strong, I feel like this is the perfect way to elevate those lulu’s and sneakers!
